Traditional Chinese Medicine is an entire body of medicine with its own methods for diagnosis, treatment and understanding of human physiology that developed over thousands of years. The oldest surviving text is the Yellow Emperor’s Inner Cannon written 2500 years ago. A practitioner uses such tools as acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, gua sha, tui na, qi gong and herbs to influence the body and mind to find a deeply centered space. In that space, the body is capable of healing itself.
